CONNECTFLOW (CONtinuum and NEtwork Contaminant Transport and FLOW) is an advanced software package for modelling groundwater flow and transport in porous and fractured media. It is based on the NAMMU and NAPSAC software and provides all of the functionality of NAMMU and NAPSAC. In addition, it enables combined models to be built consisting of NAMMU (porous medium) and NAPSAC (fractured rock) sub-models. This allows the most appropriate models to be used. It incorporates full 3D grid generation and post-processing capabilities, and uses one of the most robust and reliable solvers available.

NAMMU and NAPSAC have been developed over a period of more than 10 years, and have been verified extensively. They have been used successfully in many international projects. For example, NAMMU has been used in the HYDROCOIN verification exercise and the INTRAVAL validation exercise, and NAPSAC has been used in the STRIPA project. CONNECTFLOW has been used in several international projects for the deep disposal of radioactive and toxic waste, and contaminated land. Rigorous tests are applied to each new release. The software is used by companies, universities and government organisations in many countries. It is developed under a quality system that meets the international ISO9001 standard and the TickIT guidelines.
The current release of CONNECTFLOW is version 1.2. Licences for CONNECTFLOW are available commercially from Serco Assurance. The AVIZIER software is also available commercially from Serco Assurance or from BSSI. The software is supported on a wide range of platforms, from desktop computers to high-end workstations and supercomputers. A free 30-day, evaluation license is available on request.
