NAPSAC model(*.mdl)

NAPSAC models are written in a binary format that contains data on the grid, fractures and wells.

The format of the file is:

1. A line containing an integer to idetify the type of file (01141188)
2. A line giving the integer number of character string lines to follow (3)
3. Three lines each containing a character string used as identification
4. A line giving the size of the model: number of grid nodes, number of grid objects (elements + surfaces), length of grid object information array, number of grid elements, number of external grid surfaces
5. A line giving the model dimensions: the number of spatial dimensions, the number of known fractures, the total number of fractures, the number of well/borehole intervals, the number of fracture intersections, the number of boundary conditions
6. A line giving the number of borehole interval joins
7. A line giving the number of boxes used to calculate intersections in the x, y and z directions
8. A line containing all the fracture centre coordinates CENTRE(ISD,IPLANE)
9. A line containing all the fracture first vectors RDIR(ISD,IPLANE)
10. A line containing all the fracture second vectors SDIR(ISD,IPLANE)
11. A line containing all the fracture apertures THICK(IPLANE)
12. Multiple lines giving the fracture integer information IINF(I,IPLANE)
13. Multiple lines giving the fracture real information RINF(I,IPLANE)
14. A line giving the number of intersections on each fracture NIX(IPLANE)
15. A line giving a pointer into the intersection list for each fracture IPOINT(IPLANE)
16. A line giving the intersection list for all fracture LSTINT(ILST)
17. A line giving the position of the centre of each intersection CINT(ISD,ILST)
18. A line giving the position of the vector along each intersection RINT(ISD,ILST)
19. A line giving the real boundary condition information RBCPRM(I,J,IBC)
20. A line giving the integer boundary condition information IBCPRM(I,J,IBC)
21. A line giving the boundary condition type on each intersection IBTYPE(ILST)
