Session Tree
Description
Menu
Description
The session tree represents the hierarchy of the currently loaded session.
Any operation applied to an item in the tree also applies to all items
below it in the hierarchy.
The three main branches of the hierarchy are:
- Models
- Model items loaded from NAPSAC, NAMMU or CONNECTFLOW output files.
- Project
- Project items loaded from a NAPSAC or CONNECTFLOW project file.
- Externals
- Items loaded from external data files.
Each item has a checkbox next to it. Clicking the checkbox causes it to become
ticked or unticked. Ticked items are visible in the render
panel and unticked
items are not visible. Showing or hiding an item may cause data to be loaded or
unloaded.
There are two types of items, features and folders:
- Features are items that have a visible component in the image in the render
panel. They are represented as leaves in the session tree. Examples include "Well
1" and "Set 0". Each type of feature is represented by a different icon.
- Folders are items that contain features or other folders. They are
represented as branches in the session tree. Examples include "Externals" and
"Realisation 1". Folders are represented by folder icons.
Menu
Right-clicking on an item in the tree produces a drop-down menu. It is possible
to shift or ctrl click items to select more than one.
Operations accessed from the right-click menu apply to all selected items and
their sub-items in the hierarchy.
Not all menu items are available for all items.
The following menu items may be available:
- Hide
- Hides the selected items. May cause data to be unloaded.
This is equivalent to unticking the items.
- Show
- Shows the selected items. May cause data to be loaded.
This is equivalent to ticking the items.
- Representation
- Changes the representation of the selected items to Normal, Surface, Wireframe or
Points.
The normal representation is the default representation for an item of that
type, e.g. Napsac grids are wireframe and Napsac fractures are surface.
- Properties
- Displays the properties dialog for the selected
items.
This allows the properties, such as colour, of the displayed items to be changed.
- Clusters
- Displays the clustering dialog for the selected realisation.
This allows clustering of fractures around a point or one or more wells based on
their connectivity.
This menu item is only available for realisation items that have NAPSAC fractures.
- Calculate flux through planes
- Displays the flux planes dialog for the selected realisation.
This allows calculation of the flux passing though one or more planes that are
intersecting with NAPSAC fractures.
This menu item is only available for realisation items that have NAPSAC solve and flux data loaded.
- Pathlines
- Displays the pathlines dialog for the selected realisation.
This menu item is only available for realisation items that have NAPSAC
pathline data loaded.

This menu item is only available under the Externals item and its immediate
sub-folders.
If the add menu item is selected from the Externals item then all
external file types are available to load.
If the add menu item is selected from the Lines item then all line
external file types are available to load.
